ON/OFF:
Tap ON/OFF to stop iTrackME for viewing without recording. Also, when you GET gps
points from an outside source, gps points from your current location will be added if iTrackME is
running. This creates an extra line. If so, stop iTrackME, reset, and reload using GET. You won't see that extra line.
GET nnn:
You can import gps points from an external source using your device clipboard. Select any set of gps points.
Points should be one point (latitude, longitude) per line, separated by a comma. The maximum number of points is 960. You can switch
between iTrackME and other application to import points. When switching back to iTrackME, the GET button will
show the number of points found in the clipboard. Extra information in the clipboard might be ignored.
The loaded points will add to any points already in iTrackME.
SHARE:
Send an email with your gps points, by tapping the SHARE button. The email application will load. Type in
the appropriate subject and send. You will have to reopen iTrackME. You can send gps points to yourself
to create a library of point sessions. Later, you can select/copy the points from your emails to copy them
to the device clipboard. Then in iTrackME, tap GET to load the points.
RESET:
Tap RESET to clear all gps points. Use RESET instead of re-starting iTrackME. Also use RESET when you
need to GET but don't want to add to existing points.
FIT:
Tap FIT to zoom and fit so that all gps points are visible.
iTrackMe will FIT automatically every 60 seconds.
HIDE/SHOW:
Tap HIDE to hide/show the buttons. If you want to take a snapshot (hold home and on/off buttons of your device)
you might want the buttons hidden. Also, if you want to see your trip more clearly, hide the buttons. When you
need to perform a function, like changing the interval, then show the buttons.
HOME:
Tap the LOC button to zoom in on your current location. Usually, this is the last gps point recorded. Tap FIT
to zoom out again.
MAP:
Tap MAP to toggle between the simple map and the satellite map. The simple map loads faster. The satellite
map shows more detail and is prettier.
BUTTONS/LINES:
When iTrackMe is zoomed in close enough, buttons will appear showing where the
gps coordinate was recorded, and in what order. When zoomed out too far away,
the buttons disappear.
HELP:
Tap HELP to show this page.
INTERVAL:
Tap the INTERVAL button to toggle between 4, 8, 12, 16 hours of recording time. There are 480 points maximum that
can be recorded. Recording every 15 seconds gives you 4 hours total. 30 second intervals give you 8 hours. 45 second
intervals give you 12 hours, and 1 minute intervals gives you 16 hours of recording time. The INTERVAL button displays
the interval at which gps points are recorded. Also, a percentage of usage is also shown. 25% of 8 hours means that
two hours of recording has been completed, leaving a remaining six hours to be recorded.
You can change the interval anytime you want. If you want gps points every 15 seconds for a portion of your trip,
you can do that. If you think you are running out of time at 4 hours, change the interval to 8, 12 or 16 hours. The
next gps points will be recorded at the new longer interval.
BACKGROUND:
ItrackME runs in the background. This means that you can forget about it. When full, iTrackME will beep. To really
turn off iTrackME, double tap the home button and delete iTrackME from the fast switch menu.
Warning:
Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
When you are done using iTrackMe, make sure it is no longer running. Double tap the home button and delete
the iTrackMe background process at the bottom of your screen. iTrackMe will still be installed, just not running.
